The sports industry is still divided over the issue of artificial grass; is artificial turf better than natural grass fields? According to a new sports foundation, the answer depends on the amount of time the team can play on the turf after rain. Rain is often the reason behind canceled sports games and practices; however artificial grass lawn could change all that. The foundation’s first goal is to reduce the number of days that practices and games are canceled due to a wet field after rain. According to the article, the school experiences 33 percent rain-outs in fall and 23 percent rain-outs in spring.
