As leading artificial grass suppliers, we’re often asked about infill. Homeowners and businesses alike want to know what type of infill we use and why. In an effort to shed some light on the subject, we will be publishing a series of blog posts about one of the latest types of infill we use at our company, the benefits, and when you need it most.
What is Infill?
Before we get into the latest type of infill we use, it’s important to define infill. Infill is the material placed in between the blades of synthetic lawn turf. Infill can be made out of many materials, including crumb rubber particles and sand. There are many reasons why infill is used. The main purpose of infill is to prop up the blades so that they appear like natural standing grass. However, today’s best infill materials add special features to the turf, such as a soft feel underfoot and preventing bacteria growth.
